How are you feeling physically & emotionally?

Are you feeling unmotivated and lethargic?

Are you feeling stressed and low?

Are you drinking and eating more than usual?

Have you put on the dreaded 'covid stone'?

If the answer is yes to any of these, then you're not alone as people all over the country, and indeed the world, are experiencing physical and mental health challenges right now.

So what's stopping you from taking action?

I know that as soon as you take a break from exercise, it's SO difficult to get back into it. Your mind will think of every possible excuse not to do it, with 'I'll go next week' being the most common. And you really mean it at the time, but then life gets in the way, and another week, month or even year has passed.

But can we really afford to let life get in the way at this time, when it's absolutely imperative that we have a healthy body, strong immunity and balanced mind? How else can we expect to cope? I know I wouldn't be able to without my daily meditation and yoga practice.

You don't have to run a marathon, you just have to do something for your health and well-being at least ONCE a week. If you can't come to online classes, then try the yoga and meditation videos on my YouTube channel Yoga Loveliness or the internet is full of practices you can follow.

But it's helpful to have a person in real-time guiding you, encouraging you to listen to your body, to let go of your thoughts; reminding you that you're breathing, helping you to remember that inside of you is a place of peace. A place that will always make you feel safe and protected. A place that will provide you with all of your physical and emotional needs. But unless you return to this place regularly, you cannot remember how good it makes you feel.

Even though it's ideal to be together in an in-person class, our spirit has no boundaries of time and space. It resides here and now regardless of where we are. And whether we can conceive of it or not, we ARE connected, even though a computer screen!

So remember, when you leap over that first hurdle in spite of the immense resistance in your mind, you'll be rewarded with that indescribable yogic buzz. In fact, I've always found, the more resistance I experience, the better I feel afterwards.

And once you're over that first hurdle, which is undoubtedly the most difficult, it'll never be as hard again...as long as you keep going!

Please look after yourselves. If you don't do it for you, then do it for your loved ones, as happiness spreads like ripples on an infinite lake of peace....
